USE IMAGE EDITING SOFTWARE (APPS)

My blog rant (introduction)

Being able to change and alter digital images is an essential part of going from good graphics to great graphics. The ability ti improve a photograph's color and contrasts or re-size an image for specific uses, especially for a BLOG or a WIKI is an important skill in the new digital age. Without question, the most common professional software used to manipulate images is Photoshop. There are other tools. GIMP is a free open source software that does practically the same thing, but isn't as popular and definitely isn't as accepted in the professional community. I'm currently exploring a new company that offers its services free and HAS iPAD apps is PIXLR. That's what this will focus on.

THE CONCEPT

PIXLR is free editing software whose toolbar looks a lot like Photoshop. Learning how to use the PIXLR toolbar is a great way to become familiar with more powerful and professional image editing packages. Also, the iPad Apps for Pixlr are useful.
